Description:

Karl Chen completed this award winning 38 story, 1.2 million square foot building as a project manager for Gilsanz, Murray & Steficek. Located at the southwest corner of 42nd Street and Madison Avenue in the heart of Manhattan’s Grand Central neighborhood, this tower is currently home to PricewaterhouseCoopers and The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

The building features 25 floors of office space atop an eight story base consisting of three trading floors,one technology floor, two office floors and a two story lobby. Two and one half floors of support space sit below ground. The design has garnered numerous awards, including the 2005 ACEC New York Excellence Diamond Award and the NY Construction News Office Award of Merit for 2003. It was also a 2005 ACEC National Finalist.
